CERN: accelerators used in hadron therapy for cancer

Stepping off the tram into the fresh morning breeze, with the sun slowly rising over Franco-Swiss countryside, on a warm September morning one of the most fascinating buildings stood before me.  A wooden global shaped building was ahead in all its grandeur and you knew that stepping on to the campus would mean you would be stepping where all the top scientists from around the world have been.  The excitement was evident on all the other visitors’ faces whom had flocked, like myself, from different corners of the world.
